Altria Remains Stable Amid Broad Selling Pressure

Altria Group , the domestic arm of tobacco giant Philip Morris, narrowly missed estimates Thursday morning, reporting an adjusted EPS of $0.39 on revenues of $4.1 billion.

R.J. Reynolds reaches $150K settlement

Winston-Salem-based R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co . has agreed to terminate its “Camel Farm” cigarette marketing campaign and pay the state of Maryland $150,000. The terms, announced Wednesday, were part of a settlement to a lawsuit brought by Attorney General Douglas F. Gansler on behalf of the state.
